Jim Cooke is a guitar
builder and repair technician. Jim can perform just about any repair on stringed
instruments, and specializes in complete restoration work. Some specialties
include: finish work, including touch ups, structural repairs, re-fretting and
fret milling. Jim is also a Fender and Guild gold level repair technician (their
highest level). A full shop including a band-saw, buffing wheel, drill press and
a very complete selection of tools and jigs, makes sure your stringed instrument
gets the best care.

Bruce Gerard has been interested in music and electronics since he was a child. Bruce was constantly getting in trouble for taking electrical things apart to see what made them work. In grade school, he found library books on electricity, radios and electronics. By the time he had graduated from High School, he was in a band, and he was being asked to fix radios and amplifiers for friends. During his college years, Bruce earned extra money by restoring antique tube radios for the owner of a large antique store.
In 1989 Bruce began to offer vintage amplifier and Jukebox repair out of a small shop in Chico, Ca. At one point he even shared a shop space with Bruce Zinky, who would go on to work at Fender Musical Instruments, and launch Zinky Amplifiers. By the early 1990s, Bruce Gerard was repairing amps for a majority of artists and bands in Chico.
Bruce now works exclusively on musical instrument amplifiers, instrument electronics, and related sound equipment. His shop is stocked with a wide assortment of replacement parts and vacuum tubes, and if you need something he doesn't have in stock, he knows where he can get it for you. He offers customers top quality workmanship, and only uses replacement parts that meet or exceed OEM specifications.
